Eurosys 2016 will take place at Imperial College London, South Kensington Campus, social events will take place at the Royal Society and the Grand Connaught Rooms, located in central London.

The main campus of Imperial College London is located in South Kensington, which is in close proximity to Hyde Park, the Royal Albert Hall, the Science Museum, the Museum of Natural History and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

The main conference will take place in the Sherfield building, Workshop and Tutorials will take place across the Sherfield, Huxley and Sir Alexander Fleming building. More information are available at the Practical information page.

The college can be reached from the Underground station of South Kensington, on the District, Circle and Piccadilly lines. At the station's exit turn right and follow the pedestrian subway toward the museums, at its end turn left on Exhibition road. After the entrance to the science Museum turn left on Imperial College Rd. The entrance to the Sherfield building is on the right after the Queen's Tower and the lawn.

The Eurosys 2016 welcome reception, generously supported by Apple, will take place at the Royal Society.

The Royal Society, founded in the XVII century, is one of the oldest learned societies for science still in existence. It is located a few hundred yards from Piccadilly Circus, Charing Cross, and Embankment tube stations. The easiest way to reach the Royal Society from Imperial College is using public transports, paying with an oyster or contactless card. From Imperial Queen's Lawn turn left on Imperial College Road, after 200 meters turn right on Exhibition Road. Proceed for 50 meters and take the pedestrian subway on the right to the South Kensington tube station. Take the Piccadilly line (blue) for 4 stops until Piccadilly Circus. At Piccadilly walk south on Reagent's Street for 400 meters and at the Duke of York's Column turn right on Carlton House Terrace. The entrance to the Royal society is on your left after 50 meters. The Eurosys 2016 banquet dinner, generously supported by VMware, will take place at the the Grand Connaught Rooms.

Grand Connaught Rooms is one of London’s most impressive and stylish event venues, in the heart of theatre land and surrounded by the buzz of Covent Garden. The venue is within walking distance from the Piccadilly Line (Covent Garden and Holborn stations) and the Central Line (Holborn station). The easiest way to reach the venue from Imperial College is using public transports, paying with an oyster or contactless card. From Imperial Queen's Lawn turn left on Imperial College Road, after 200 meters turn right on Exhibition Road. Proceed for 50 meters and take the pedestrian subway on the right to the South Kensington tube station. Take the Piccadilly line (blue) for 7 stops until Holborn station. At Holborn walk south on the A4200/Kingsway for 120 meters, then turn right on Great Queen Street the entrance to the rooms is after 100 meters on the left. (Google Maps directions).

Airport & Transportation:

London has 6 major international airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, City, Stansted, Luton, Southend). London is the main intercontinental air hub with both America and Asia. The two major airports are Heathrow and Gatwick, with daily flights to the four continents.

Heathrow airport has direct underground access to the city centre through the Piccadilly line, as well as a fast direct train to the centre (Heathrow Express). Gatwick airport is connected to central London (Victoria station) through the Gatwick express train and buses. Stansted is connected to central London through the Stansted Express railway (Liverpool Street Station) and buses.
